Design Manager/Architect

Design Manager / Architect We are seeking an experienced Design Manager / Architect to join a well-established contractor, supporting the successful delivery of Design and Build (DandB) projects. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Lead Consultant, Lead Designer, Design Manager, Architect, or similar, with a strong understanding of both design delivery and wider project management. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the design process from pre-construction through to completion. Coordinate architects, consultants, engineers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. Manage design programmes, design responsibility matrices, information release schedules, and technical deliverables. Ensure designs are coordinated, compliant, buildable, and delivered in line with programme and project requirements. Work closely with the Senior Project Manager and Project Director. Lead design meetings, reviews, workshops, and coordination activities. Manage design changes, RFIs, variations, risks, and technical issues. Support tendering, value engineering, procurement, and commercial activities. Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships. Ensure design and construction quality, health and safety, and regulatory requirements are met. Experience and Skills Relevant qualification in Architecture, Design, Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline.
