Design Manager

Design Manager / Coordinator - Up to -75,000 - Luton (Remote as well)

Our established and award winning-Main Contracting client are looking to recruit a-Design Manager-to join their established Technical-Team, reporting into the Contracts Director.-

As Design Manager you will lead and manage the design process from pre-construction through to completion, coordinating consultant design teams and ensuring designs are technically compliant, buildable and delivered in line with the project programme, budget and client requirements.

The role offers an excellent variety of work across project sectors including-commercial, education, industrial, heritage, blue light and leisure sectors in the public and private sectors, with values ranging from -1m to -20m.

Skills & Experience

• Strong technical knowledge across a range of construction methods and building types
• Working knowledge of NEC3/4 and JCT forms of contract
• Experience of design management on main contracts projects up to -15m in value
• Knowledge of CDM 2015 and the Building Safety Act
• Confident managing multiple design consultants and stakeholders simultaneously
• Familiarity with BIM/Revit-based design coordination (desirable)
• A leader of people with excellent organisational, prioritisation and communication skills-

Qualifications & Requirements

• HNC/HND or degree in Architecture, Building Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years'' design management experience with a main contractor.
