      <description>Location: Carlisle | Salary: &amp;pound;400 - &amp;pound;450/day | Type: Contract | Design Manager  Overview  A dedicated Design Manager role supporting the delivery of Project Harker in Carlisle. You will take ownership of all design activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient delivery while working closely with site, client and project teams.  Key Responsibilities    Lead design planning, coordination and programme management.   Manage design reviews, assurance processes and approvals.   Coordinate internal teams, consultants, subcontractors and client stakeholders.   Control design changes, risks and NEC contractual requirements.   Support construction, safety and CDM compliance.   Promote innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.   Requirements    8+ years'' experience in design management.   HV substation and transmission project experience.   Strong leadership and stakeholder management capability.   Knowledge of National Grid processes and standards.   Degree qualified with relevant professional membership preferred.   National Grid Persons (Substations) accreditation advantageous. &lt;/ul</description>
