Design Manager

Design Manager Tier 1 Main Contractor Location: London / Site Based Salary: £65k - £80k + £6k car allowance + Pension + Healthcare + Life Assurance x3 Sector: Residential PBSA DfE Education Based in London, you ll be working across major London projects within Residential, PBSA (Purpose-Built Student Accommodation) and DfE Schools. The working split depends on the stage of the project, but will typically involve around 3 days from the London office and 2 days on site, moving more site-based as projects progress. The Role You ll take responsibility for managing and coordinating the design process from pre-construction through to delivery, working closely with consultants, subcontractors and the wider project team. Key responsibilities will include: Managing the design programme and ensuring information is delivered in line with the construction programme Coordinating architects, structural engineers, MEP consultants and specialist subcontractors Leading design team meetings and workshops Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical submissions Identifying design risks, buildability issues and opportunities for value engineering Managing RFIs and design changes Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, client requirements and project specifications Working closely with the commercial and construction teams throughout delivery The Candidate This would suit an existing Design Manager or a strong Assistant Design Manager / Senior Design Coordinator ready to step up. ..... full job details .....
