      <description>Location: Portsmouth | Salary: &amp;pound;300 - &amp;pound;400/day | Type: Temporary | We are recruiting for a Design Manager to join a regional contractor based in Portsmouth on a part time freelance basis - you will be paid a day rate and expected work will be 2-3 days a week dependent on workload.     The role is to work on schemes from bid stages and then through the detailed 2nd stage before helping set them up before they go onto site and helping build and deliver the scheme so bid it, win it, 2nd stage it then take to site and deliver it - full life cycle of the project.     The schmes range for -100k up to -5 million are mainly framework led through SCF, DFE and local authority and are new build and refurbishment works on schools, universities, hospitals, care homes along with some retail and industrial schemes.     They are looking for either Design Managers who are semi retired and want to keep their eye and skills in or long term freelancers who have 2-3 days a week spare capacity.
