Client information
Our client is a well-established Tier 1 contractor with a strong presence across the UK, delivering high-quality projects across the education, public sector, high-rise residential, and industrial sectors. Due to a strong pipeline of work in the West Midlands, they are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join their growing team.

Design Manager roles and responsibilities
* Manage and coordinate the design process across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements, regulations, and programme deadlines.
* Liaise with architects, consultants, and internal teams to drive design quality and resolve technical issues.
* Review and manage design deliverables, ensuring buildability, cost efficiency, and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.

Design Manager requirements
* Proven experience as a Design Manager within a main contractor, ideally across education, public sector, residential high-rise, or industrial projects.
* Strong understanding of construction processes, design coordination, and relevant building regulations.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
