Design Manager - Water Infrastructure and Civil EngineeringJoin a leading Tier 1 civil engineering and infrastructure contractor delivering major water, wastewater and environmental projects across the UK. This is an opportunity for an experienced Design Manager to lead multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants on complex water infrastructure programmes, ensuring high-quality technical solutions are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with client requirements.The RoleAs Design Manager, you will take ownership of the technical delivery of projects from concept through to detailed design, supporting the successful delivery of clean water, wastewater, biosolids, pipeline, pumping station, trunk main and network infrastructure schemes. You will work closely with project delivery teams, engineering specialists, consultants and stakeholders to ensure designs are compliant, buildable and delivered to programme and budget.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams and design consultants.Take accountability for the technical quality and suitability of engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle.Ensure designs comply with client requirements, industry standards, regulations and specifications.Manage consultant performance and contractual deliverables.Oversee engineering budgets, design schedules and resource planning.Implement and manage engineering change control processes.Review and approve calculations, drawings, ..... full job details .....
