      <description>Location: Birmingham | Salary: &amp;pound;65000 - &amp;pound;70000/annum | Type: Permanent | Design Manager    Our client, a prominent leader in the transmission and distribution sector, is seeking a Design Manager to join their dynamic team. This permanent role offers the unique opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure projects that play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the UK''s power network.   Key Responsibilities:    Undertake the statutory role of CDM Principal Designer for HV and EHV projects, ensuring compliance with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.  Lead and coordinate the project design phase, managing multidisciplinary design teams, suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders.  Oversee the development and review of technical specifications and design deliverables for substation upgrades and new-build projects from 11kV up to and including 132kV.  Ensure that design solutions are technically robust, buildable, maintainable, and aligned with project requirements.  Manage the design risk process, facilitating the identification, assessment, elimination, reduction, and communication of risks throughout the project lifecycle.
