Design Manager

The Opportunity Are you an experienced Design Manager looking for your next challenge within the water and infrastructure sector? An established and growing infrastructure business is looking for a Design Manager to lead its in-house design team, supporting the delivery of essential water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of design delivery, provide technical leadership and help develop a team of engineers and designers within a business with a strong pipeline of work. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage and develop an in-house team of designers, engineers and technicians. Coordinate civil and infrastructure design activities from concept through to delivery. Undertake Principal Designer duties in accordance with CDM 2015. Oversee the preparation and review of drawings, calculations, specifications, reports and estimates. Ensure designs meet client requirements, technical standards and quality procedures. Manage design programmes, workloads and resources to meet project deadlines. Work closely with project managers, clients, framework teams and external design consultants. Drive innovation, continuous improvement and professional development across the design function.
