Design Manager

We''re currently looking to recruit for a Design Manager to help support our South Wales Construction team. Location: Cardiff Contract: Permanent, full time with agile working available We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role. What will you be responsible for? Due to growth, we are recruiting for a Design Manager to join our Western and Wales region to work on a range of schemes including healthcare, MOD, MOJ, Education and Commercial schemes in South Wales. Within the role, you will support the delivery of projects at preconstruction and construction stages, working collaboratively with the project team to maximise scheme outcomes. Duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Compile Consultant Appointments, aligning of scope and accountabilities to stakeholder and contractual requirements. Contribute to key subcontract design orders. Develop the Design Management Plan and implement Kier design processes including Client approvals. Assist in the development of the BEP.Understand the Client brief and Contractor''s Proposals to achieve an optimal design solution to eliminate inherent defects and improve buildability. Contribute to the completion of Inspection and Test Plans.Develop and define design outputs within the design release schedules to achieve requirements of the Integrated Construction Programme and Client sign off items.
