Design Manager - High-Rise Residential

Senior Design ManagerFawkes and Reece are currently working with a leading main contractor who are looking to appoint a Senior Design Manager to join their team on a major development.This is a significant 300m+ mixed-use development, forming part of a much larger regeneration programme. The scheme will incorporate substantial residential accommodation alongside education, leisure, retail and community facilities.As Senior Design Manager, you will take a leading role in managing the design delivery of the project, working closely with the client, consultants, subcontractors and wider project team to ensure the design is coordinated, buildable and delivered to programme.The Role:Lead and manage the design process from pre-construction through to deliveryCoordinate design information across architectural, structural and MEP disciplinesManage consultants, subcontractors and specialist design teamsReview technical information and ensure design complianceIdentify and resolve design issues and clashesWork closely with the commercial and construction teams to ensure buildabilityManage design programmes, deliverables and approvalsMaintain strong relationships with the client and wider design teamThe Candidate:Previous experience as a Design Manager / Senior Design Manager with a main contractorExperience working on large-scale, complex construction projectsStrong technical design and coordination backgroundExperience managing consultants and specialist subcontractorsResidential, ..... full job details .....
