Design Manager Heavy Civils Location: Glasgow Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 + £6,700 Car Allowance or Car + Bonus + Package Sector: Power / Transmission and Distribution / Infrastructure A major UK infrastructure contractor is looking to appoint a Design Manager to support the delivery of major power transmission and distribution (TandD) projects across Scotland. The business is delivering a growing portfolio of electricity infrastructure schemes, including new-build and upgraded substations, overhead transmission lines, underground cable routes and associated civil infrastructure. The Opportunity This is an opportunity to join a growing power infrastructure team working on a significant pipeline of electricity transmission projects across Scotland. Projects include high-voltage substations, new and upgraded overhead transmission lines, underground cable connections and the associated civil, structural and enabling works required to deliver major TandD infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to work across projects, from ECI and early design development through detailed design and construction, coordinating interfaces among electrical engineering, civil design, and project delivery teams. The role will focus on coordinating multidisciplinary design through ECI, pre-construction and delivery, ensuring civil, structural and electrical designs are fully integrated, buildable and aligned with programme and commercial requirements.
