Design ManagerLocation: York Salary: 45,000 (DOE) Hours: 36.5 hours per week Monday to Thursday: 8:30am to 5:00pm (1 hour Lunch Break) Friday: Early finish at 4:00pm Holidays: 26 days + Bank HolidaysWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Design Manager to join a well-established and growing specialist contractor within the industrial roofing, cladding and building envelope sector.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Design Manager, Senior Designer or technically strong roofing and cladding professional looking to take ownership of the design function within a growing business.The successful candidate will work closely with the Directors and wider project teams, taking responsibility for design management, technical coordination and subcontractor management across a range of industrial and commercial projects.The RoleAs Design Manager, you will act as the key technical point of contact throughout the design process. You will take projects from commercial handover through design development and approval, ensuring that designs are technically sound, buildable, compliant and aligned with the original tender scope and budget.Key responsibilities will include:Managing internal and external designers and design subcontractorsSetting clear technical standards and submission requirementsReviewing and approving drawings, details and material schedules before client submissionTracking design deliverables against project programmes and deadlinesEnsuring designs ..... full job details .....
