Position Design Manager
Location - Liverpool Street, London
Salary- -50k - -60k + package
The Company
This client is a fast-growing main contractor that specialises in the commercial fit-out sector. Currently boasting an-annual -40m+ turnover.
As part of their continued growth plans they are looking to add a Design Manager to their London Office. This role is operating in their London office and will see you working on commercial projects from -500k20m in London.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the production of the proposals, in preparation for review by the bid team, and updated to include all post tender negotiations.
- Produce project specific designer agreements, a scope of services and the design management plans, ensuring agreement by all stakeholders.
- Produce and manage a realistic design programme and information required to achieve design, procurement, and build requirements. In collaboration with all parties
- Ensure the design has been reviewed on all projects, mitigating Health & Safety, planning, design and buildability issues prior to activity.
- Manage and report on design and designer progress, quality, and performance.
- Lead Design Meetings with the various design consultancies and subcontractors.
The Candidate
- Experience in the commercial fit-out sector working as a Designer, Architect or Design Manager is essential.
- Experience working for a main contractor or a D&B firm is preferred.
- Candidates from an architectural practice would be considered if they have managed projects and overseen the flow of design information produced by other members of the team.
- Experience-leading projects from inception to completion would be ideal
- In terms of-core skills creativity, a strong work ethic &-an ability to identify a problem and ensure a solution is found are all highly desirable.
