Design Manager

Time Appointments are excited to be working with a huge, well-established Construction firm based in Ipswich who are looking for an experienced Design Manager to join their pre-construction team. You will work closely with and report to their experiences Pre-Construction Manager.

Key Duties:

• Manage the design process during the tender stage.
• Understand design briefs.
• Chair design development meetings during the tender process.
• Ensure designers appointments are completed in accordance with procedures.
• Attend risk meetings.
• Produce and monitor a design procurement schedule.
• Manage the progress of design issues within a strict timescale and ensure designers meet information delivery dates.

Previous Skills & Experience:

• A background within design (architectural or engineering) and/or construction project management is essential.
• Knowledge of construction techniques and design standards.
• Self-motivated.
• Able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
