Design Manager

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Design Manager to take responsibility for the design delivery of non-infrastructure wastewater projects across the Severn Trent Water AMP8 Framework.Working across multidisciplinary wastewater schemes, you''ll manage the design process from scope and programme through to technical assurance and delivery, coordinating closely with design, delivery, commercial and MEICA teams.The role operates on a hybrid basis, with three days per week across site offices in Rugby, Finham and Netheridge, and two days working from home.The RoleYou''ll be involved in:Managing design delivery across non-infrastructure wastewater projectsIdentifying design scope, requirements and key deliverablesReviewing and challenging design programmesManaging design deliverables and design changeCoordinating multidisciplinary design and construction teamsLeading design progress and coordination meetingsManaging design reviews, technical assurance reviews and CDM reviewsLeading buildability, carbon and DfMA workshopsChallenging designs to achieve practical, carbon-efficient and commercially viable solutionsImplementing and managing project BIM strategySupporting the nominated Principal DesignerCoordinating closely with Project Managers, Commercial Managers, design consultants, MEICA leads and supply-chain partnersSupporting procurement decisions across individual work packagesMaintaining design quality, governance and assurance throughout project deliveryWhat ..... full job details .....
