Design focused Architect (Part II / Part III) (London). We are currently seeking talented and ambitious architects with a strong design flair to join our dynamic commercial practice. With the guidance of the Director, lead on projects from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative and functional designCarry out feasibility, capacity studies and concept design work on individual projectsTake the “brief” to identify clients’ needs and put together feasibility reports and design proposalsSupport across projects through the early feasibility, concept design and planning stagesCommunicating and presenting design thinking and philosophies to clients and local planning authoritiesEvaluate and advise on refurbishment, re-use, recycling and deconstructionTake the lead on developing ideas, keeping in mind the client’s needs, the building’s usage and environmental impactCompile project specifications and keep within budgets and timelinesEnsure that all works are carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines and regulationsCooperate and liaise with construction professionalsKeep up to date with architectural trends and advancementsQualifications
Experienced professional with proven design capabilitiesCommitment to developing high-quality design information with excellent attention to detailAbility to present and communicate design ideas and conceptsGood working knowledge of Adobe packages, including Photoshop, Revit (an advantage), SketchUpDesign experience working in a cross-section of sectors preferredExperience of working on medium to large-scale mixed-use projects at the early design stage in the UK and internationallyPersonal Attributes
A creative and enthusiastic individual with a passion for design and the ability to work well as part of a team and thrive in a diverse and exciting studio environmentA keen interest in, and knowledge of, sustainable design would be an advantageExperience in a range of sectors would be preferred but not essentialExcellent communication skills are essentialWhat We Offer
