Mechanical Design Engineer - Subsea ToolingLocation: Aberdeen Salary: Up to 55kThe RoleWe are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team in the Aberdeen area. This role will focus on the design and development of subsea cutting tooling, supporting a range of offshore projects.You will play a key part in delivering innovative, robust, and reliable tooling solutions for challenging subsea environments, working from concept through to manufacture and deployment. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop subsea cutting tools and mechanical systemsProduce detailed engineering drawings and models using CAD (SolidWorks desirable)Conduct design calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selectionSupport prototyping, testing, and validation of designsWork closely with manufacturing, project, and offshore teamsEnsure designs meet industry standards and client specificationsContribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering function About YouDegree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related disciplineExperience in mechanical design, ideally within subsea, offshore, or oil and gas sectorsProficient in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks experience desirable)Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processesExperience designing for harsh or subsea environments is advantageousExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work both independently and as part of a team What We ..... full job details .....
