Design Engineer - Specialist Vehicle SolutionsJob Title Design Engineer Reporting To Engineering Manager Purpose of the Role We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to support the development and manufacture of specialist vehicle-based solutions. This role will involve designing bespoke mechanical and electrical integration components, producing engineering documentation, and supporting projects from initial concept through to final implementation. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering innovative vehicle enhancement and equipment installation projects while ensuring designs meet quality, safety, and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities Develop design solutions for specialist vehicle modification and equipment integration projects. Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and manufacturing documentation. Design brackets, mounting systems, enclosures, and supporting vehicle adaptations. Create and maintain engineering specifications, assembly instructions, and bills of materials. Ensure all designs align with relevant industry standards, safety requirements, and operational specifications. Collaborate with manufacturing, purchasing, and workshop teams to support efficient project delivery. Assist with prototype development, product trials, and design verification activities.
