Design Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Design Engineer to join a growing and well-established specialist supplier to the Mechanical and Electrical (MandE) sector, based in Northfleet. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual with experience in mechanical design, building services or MEP engineering to join a supportive business with an expanding engineering division. Working closely with internal teams, customers and external manufacturing partners, you will play a key role in developing practical engineering solutions, producing technical drawings and coordinating projects from initial enquiry through to manufacture and delivery. This is a technically focused position rather than a sales role, offering the opportunity to utilise your design knowledge, problem-solving abilities and project coordination skills within a varied and hands-on environment. Key Responsibilities - Produce, develop and modify technical engineering drawings using SolidWorks and other relevant CAD software. - Interpret customer specifications, technical requirements and engineering drawings to develop practical design solutions. - Provide technical support to internal sales teams on engineering enquiries and project requirements. - Liaise with external CAD designers, fabrication partners and suppliers to coordinate design and manufacturing activities. - Review technical drawings to ensure accuracy, functionality and suitability for manufacture and installation. - Manage the ..... full job details .....
