      <description>Location: Derby | Salary: &amp;pound;50000 - &amp;pound;60000/annum | Type: Permanent | Sapien is looking for an experienced Design Engineer to join our clients engineering team in Derby, working on the design and development of complex turbomachinery and rotating equipment.  Our ideal candidate will have direct gas turbine or turbomachinery experience, but we are also keen to speak with engineers who have experience in gearbox design, gearbox manufacturing, gas turbine equipment or high-speed rotating machinery.   Key Responsibilities     Lead and execute mechanical design activities from concept through to production.   Create, develop and maintain complex mechanical and turbomachinery designs.   Ensure designs meet technical, manufacturing, performance and customer requirements.   Manage multiple engineering projects and deliver designs to agreed cost and schedule.   Produce and maintain engineering drawings and design documentation.   Work closely with manufacturing, engineering and customers to resolve technical issues.   Support design reviews, technical assessments and product development activities.   Present technical information and design solutions to internal teams and customers.
