Design Engineer - Renewable Energy / Building ServicesSunderland Pertemps are actively recruiting for a Design Engineer to join an innovative and growing business. We''re looking for an experienced, technically minded engineer with a background in Building Services, MandE, Renewable Energy or Construction Engineering. The role will focus on the design and delivery of underfloor heating (UFH) systems, supporting projects from initial design and feasibility through to installation, commissioning and handover. Key Responsibilities Design UFH systems, layouts, schematics and technical calculations. Specify manifolds, controls, pipework and associated heating components. Support the integration of heat pumps, district heating, communal heating and commercial plant rooms. Ensure designs meet relevant Building Regulations, British Standards and industry requirements. Review technical drawings, specifications and design submissions. Work closely with clients, contractors, consultants, suppliers and internal teams. Provide technical support throughout installation and commissioning. Resolve design and engineering issues and support project handover. Assist with technical evaluations, procurement and project documentation. About You: Experience in MandE, Building Services, Construction or Renewable Energy. Strong engineering design and technical knowledge. Experience interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
