Design Engineer

Design Engineer Location: Manchester (On-site) Salary: £35,000 £40,000 We re working with a well-established UK manufacturer of advanced composite and polymer materials, supplying into sectors such as defence, aerospace, and rail. They are looking to add a Design Engineer to their technical team, supporting the creation of high-quality technical data, drawings, and product information to enable accurate quoting, manufacturing, and delivery. The Role This position sits between design and manufacturing, with a strong focus on engineering drawings, product data, and production support. Key responsibilities include: Creating and updating engineering drawings, including parts, assemblies, and tooling Reviewing customer drawings for clarity and tolerance accuracy Creating and managing parts, BOMs, routings, and structures within ERP systems (IFS) Supporting production, engineering, and sales with technical queries Carrying out engineering calculations (e.g. bearing applications) Managing change requests and updating technical documentation Requirements Experience producing and interpreting engineering drawings Strong CAD experience Experience with BOMs and ERP/MRP systems Understanding of manufacturing processes, tolerances, and materials Good analytical and problem-solving skills ..... full job details .....
