Design Engineer - New Connections

This-is-an-exciting-opportunity-for-an-Electrical-Design-Engineer-with-experience-in-LV-and-HV-(11kV)-connections-design-to-join-a-major-DNO-framework.

The role involves carrying out design and costing for connections schemes and power distribution network upgrades, including:

• Analysis and studies of LV and 11kV networks
• Design for cable replacements, underground and overhead line networks
• Design of cable diversions
• Design for power distribution network reinforcement
• Design of LV and HV connections
• Customer liaison
• Ensure designs are in line with project scope and meet OFGEM requirements

Qualfications and Experience:

• Previous-experience-in-HV-connections-or-general-HV-network-design-up-to-11kV-with-a-DNO,-IDNO-or-ICP
• Understanding of NERS
• Knowledge of-DNO-and-IDNO-design-standards and scheme approvals
• Knowledge of Grid Code and CDM regulations
• Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)
• Driving licence
