      <description>Location: Cambridgeshire | Salary: Negotiable | Type: Permanent | Design Engineer Wisbech, Cambridgeshire    We are now looking to recruit an experienced  Design Engineer  to join our growing design team based in  Wisbech, Cambridgeshire , working primarily with SolidWorks to support our fabrication workshops, site teams and external clients.      Key Responsibilities:   	 Work closely with Project Managers to understand project requirements and develop effective design solutions. 	 Carry out on-site measurements as required to support accurate design and fabrication. 	 Produce detailed 3D models using SolidWorks for fabrications, mechanical assemblies and pipework. 	 Prepare accurate approval drawings and manufacturing drawings for workshop use. 	 Generate exported files for use by subcontract suppliers. 	 Ensure designs are accurate, cost-effective and aligned with optimal fabrication and installation methods. 	 Liaise with engineers, production teams and clients throughout the design process. 	 Maintain high standards of quality while working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
