Design Engineer

A leading Northern Ireland-based product design and manufacturing organisation is seeking a talented Design Engineer to join their growing engineering team. With continued investment in product development, they are expanding their design function to support a strong pipeline of new and existing projects.Your new roleAs a Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of new products and continuous improvement of existing designs, working from concept through to production. You will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams including RandD, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, ensuring designs are robust, manufacturable, and meet both customer and regulatory requirements.Key responsibilities:Design and develop innovative products using 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks or similar)Generate detailed engineering drawings and specificationsSupport the full product lifecycle from concept through prototyping to validationWork closely with manufacturing teams on Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)Lead or contribute to design reviews, testing, and validation activitiesLiaise with suppliers and external partners on components and toolingSupport continuous improvement and cost reduction initiativesWhat you''ll need to succeedDegree in Mechanical ..... full job details .....
