Hays Engineering are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and innovative manufacturing business to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer for their growing engineering team.This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading manufacturer supplying specialist equipment to customers across the UK, Ireland and international markets. Working within a collaborative engineering environment, you will play a key role in the design and development of bespoke mechanical products from concept through to manufacture.The RoleAs a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be involved in the full design lifecycle, working closely with production, procurement and other engineering functions to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.Key responsibilities include:Developing detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorksDesigning bespoke mechanical equipment and fabricated assembliesProducing detailed BOMs and engineering documentationSupporting projects from concept design through to production releaseLiaising with production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effectiveAssisting with product improvements and continuous improvement initiativesSupporting prototype builds, testing and product development activitiesWhat We''re Looking ForStrong experience using SolidWorks (Essential) HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design EngineeringExperience designing mechanical components, machinery or fabricated ..... full job details .....
