COMPANY DESCRIPTION, PROFILE AND SCOPE OF ROLE This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Design Engineer who can demonstrate strong competency in the use of Solidworks, and qualified to BEng, HND/C or similar level in an engineering or Product / Industrial Design discipline. You ll have the opportunity to develop within an established, highly successful and growing independently branded company, and part of Global organisation, (employing staff on both sides of the Atlantic). Working within a highly professional engineering team, you ll play a key part in developing products from concept through to manufacture as well as playing an active role in products and process improvement projects. KEY DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES Product design and development for new and existing product manufacturing. Involvement in research and development linked to prototype builds and testing. Identification, consideration, and implementation of product improvement projects. Creating production ready data including engineering drawings, bills of materials and 3D CAD models. Liaise with suppliers through the complete product development process. Understanding and implementation of relevant product approvals. Technical support for customers, suppliers and development partners as required. Adherence to internal quality management systems.
