Design Engineer

The role

The requirement will be to support the senior future programmes design engineer for development and resilience programmes with the preparation of models and drawings for various pieces of customised equipment.

• Production of engineering drawings and bills of materials in support of site engineering programmes.
• Correct application of BS 8888 and ISO9001. In accordance with internal sign off procedures.
• Correct application of materials and tolerances for the purposes of form fit and function.
• Liaising with Product, Process and Manufacturing engineers to support their process and equipment requirements

Key Skills

• Knowledge and understanding of BS 8888 and ISO9001.
• Understanding and appreciation for suitable GD and T tolerances
• Knowledge of stock components, fasteners, pneumatic, hydraulic, vacuum and/or food industry pipework, valves, fittings etc
• Proficient user of Siemens NX CAD software
