A Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in the design of pumps, or similar rotating equipment, is required for a busy engineering company.

You will provide high level engineering design work compiling detailed GA / assembly / component drawings and Bill of Materials (BoMs). -The design work is very project based so you will work to agreed milestones and deliverables for project and production completion.

Qualified to HNC / HND level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, you will have a minimum of 2 years experience in Mechanical Design, ideally within mechanical rotating equipment. -With a fundamental understanding and knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, you will be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, standards and specifications and be proficient in 3D / CAD, ideally Solidworks. -Experience of Bill of Material creation and maintenance using an ERP system is also required. -Any experience in engineering calculations including Finite Element Analysis and / or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) would be beneficial.
