Mechanical Design Engineer - RIGLocation: Whetstone, UKContract: Outside IR35Duration: 6 monthsHours: 40 hours per weekHybrid: 2 days in office Join a leading organisation in the aerospace sector, specialising in advanced aeroengine design, development, manufacturing and lifecycle propulsion services. The business is at the forefront of delivering innovative and efficient engineering solutions for aerospace industry. We are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical RIG Design Engineer to join an exciting engineering project on a 6-month contract.Experience and Qualifications:Design engineer will have degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering preferred, HND minimum.Should have Aerospace Rig design experience.As a design engineer you should be able to design interfaces considering fit, form and function.Excellent Siemens NX skills, with surfacing experience advantageousTeamcenter experience, particularly working with NX CAD filesAbility to size components using hand calculations.Experience with bolted joint calculations and stack-up calculationsExperience writing design specifications for new equipmentExperience working on fabrications andDesirable Experience:Stress calculations using ANSYS WorkbenchGas turbine experienceDetailing and producing detail drawingsIf you have strong NX design experience and are looking for your next contract opportunity, I''d love to hear from you.Apply now or send me a message to discuss the role further.
