Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 (depending on experience)
 
Hill McGlynn is working in partnership with a well-established construction consultancy based in West Malling that is looking to recruit a Design Technician / Coordinator to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong AutoCAD skills who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking construction environment.
 
The Role
As a Design Technician / Coordinator, you will support the design and project teams by producing and coordinating technical drawings for a range of construction projects. The company works across a variety of sectors, delivering high-quality solutions for internal construction packages.
 
Projects will typically include elements such as drylining, internal fit-out, and partitioning, so previous exposure to these areas would be highly beneficial.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate technical drawings using AutoCAD
• Assist with the coordination of design information across projects
• Work closely with project managers, designers, and site teams
• Review and amend drawings in line with project requirements
• Ensure drawings comply with relevant standards and specifications
• Support the wider team with technical documentation where required

Requirements

• Proven experience using AutoCAD in a professional environment
• Previous experience within the construction or building sector
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a project team
• Good communication skills

Desirable Experience

• Experience working on drylining, internal fit-out, or partitioning projects
• Previous experience in a design coordination or technical role
