Design Coordinator

We are looking for an experienced Design Coordinator to lead the initial stage of design coordination on a footbridge infrastructure project. This is a key pre-construction and Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) role. You will bridge the gap between design engineering, site methodology, and commercial pricing-shaping the construction strategy, managing technical risks, and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to prepare a robust programme and price for the second phase of delivery. If you have a strong background in civil engineering, bridge construction, heavy lifting, and traffic management coordination, this role offers an exceptional opportunity to drive value engineering on a high-profile regional infrastructure project. Key Responsibilities Design and ECI Coordination: Lead the first stage of design coordination, ensuring constructability, buildability, and value engineering principles are integrated early. Risk and Value Management: Facilitate and maintain the project Risk and Value Engineering Registers, identifying technical constraints and cost-saving opportunities. Construction Methodology and Planning: Support the development of robust construction sequences, piling methodologies, and concrete pipe installation plans. Specialist Interfaces: Coordinate critical site requirements, including Traffic Management (TM) phasing, Lift Planning for structural components, and Utility Coordination/Diverting.
