Overview

An established and growing design & build practice is seeking a Design Assistant to join their friendly and fast-paced team near Colchester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with AutoCAD and Photoshop skills looking to develop their career within residential design, working on projects from concept through to construction drawings. Due to location candidates will be required to have their own transport.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce working drawings using AutoCAD
• Assist with planning applications for residential developments
• Prepare site layouts and house-type drawings
• Use Photoshop for planning visuals and overlays
• Attach Xrefs and image overlays to drawings
• Support senior team members across multiple live projects

Requirements

• Experience using AutoCAD (essential)
• Working knowledge of Photoshop (essential)
• Understanding of construction / working drawings
• Qualification in Construction / Built Environment (desirable)
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and good timekeeping

Desirable Skills

• SketchUp
• 3D Studio Max
• InDesign / Illustrator

What''s on Offer

• Salary: -25,000 - -30,000 (depending on experience)
• Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:30pm
• 20 days holiday + bank holidays
