Starting as a temporary member of staff after the May half-term, there is a clear pathway to a permanent contract starting in September 2026 for the right candidate.The RoleThis role bridges the gap between technical support and classroom delivery. You will be the heartbeat of the workshop four days a week, ensuring a safe environment while also stepping up to lead student learning.Technical Support (Mon-Thu): Preparing materials (wood, metal, plastics) and maintaining machinery such as bandsaws, sanders, and CAD/CAM equipment.Instructional Hours: Taking the lead on specific DandT lessons, guiding students through practical projects and theory.Health and Safety: Maintaining strict safety standards and conducting routine risk assessments.Departmental Support: Working closely with the DandT faculty to manage resources and prepare for GCSE/BTEC practical assessments.What We''re Looking ForWe need a proactive individual who is comfortable with both workshop machinery and student engagement.Experience: Previous experience in a school workshop or similar role Skillset: Proficiency in using standard workshop machinery; knowledge of 3D printing or laser cutting ..... full job details .....
