Design and Technology Teacher Southampton Location: Southampton, HampshireStart Date: January 2027Contract Type: Maternity Cover Long-TermDuration: January to May 2027, with the option to continue until July 2027Working Pattern: Full-time or 4 days per week (0.8); 0.7 may be considered for the right candidatePay Rate: Competitive, dependent on experienceAbout the Role Supply Desk is working with a highly regarded secondary school in Southampton to recruit a talented and enthusiastic Design and Technology Teacher for a maternity cover position starting in January 2027.This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established Design and Technology department within a supportive school environment. The school is open to both full-time and part-time applicants, with flexibility around working days for the right candidate.The successful applicant will primarily teach Product Design, with a preference for Resistant Materials and Timber. Experience in Food Technology or Textiles alone is less suited to the requirements of this role.The placement is initially available until May 2027, with the possibility of extending until the end of the academic year in July 2027 for someone seeking a longer-term commitment.Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons across the relevant secondary key stages.
