Design And Technology Teacher

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Design and Technology Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Coventry, Coventry.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate practitioner to deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will inspire students through practical and creative learning, fostering innovation, problem-solving skills and technical understanding.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4

• Teach across specialisms such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics or Food Technology (depending on expertise)

• Prepare students for GCSE examinations

• Maintain a safe and organised workshop/classroom environment

• Differentiate learning to support all abilities

• Assess, monitor and track pupil progress effectively

• Contribute to departmental development and enrichment opportunities

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching Design and Technology at secondary level

• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the GCSE specification

• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

• Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning

• Ability to inspire creativity and practical skills in students
