Design and Technology Teacher - Hounslow, London

A large and inclusive secondary school in Hounslow is seeking a passionate Design and Technology Teacher to join their team. This is a long-term position running until at least July 2026, with the possibility of extension. The role is full time, though the school may consider strong part-time applicants. Working hours are from 8:30am to 3:30pm. The school offers onsite parking, and the salary will reflect Outer London MPS/UPS pay scales.

As a D&T Teacher, you will:
* Deliver engaging, hands-on lessons across KS3-KS4 (and potentially KS5), focusing on innovation, creativity, and practical skills
* Support students in developing technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities across areas such as product design, resistant materials, or graphics
* Inspire a new generation of designers, engineers, and makers through real-world project-based learning
* Create a safe, well-managed workshop environment that encourages independent learning and risk-aware creativity
* Be a proactive team member, contributing to departmental planning, assessment, and extracurricular clubs

Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* A relevant degree in Design and Technology or related field
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for hands-on learning
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills
* A positive and proactive approach to teamwork and teaching
