About the Role:

• Deliver engaging, hands-on Design and Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 teaching experience is a plus)
• Teach across a range of DT specialisms, such as Resistant Materials, Graphics, Product Design, or Food Technology, according to your expertise
• Ensure the safe and effective use of tools, equipment, and materials within the classroom and workshop
• Maintain positive classroom behaviour and create a focused learning environment
• Support students in developing practical skills alongside creative and critical thinking
• Work collaboratively with department colleagues to plan lessons and assess student progress

The ideal candidate will:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in Design and Technology
• Proven experience teaching Design and Technology at the secondary level
• Effective classroom management and strong behaviour management skills
• Solid understanding of health and safety protocols in workshop and DT settings
• Possession of an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
