About the Role
PK Education is currently recruiting a passionate and skilled Design & Technology (DT) Teacher to work in a secondary school in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher looking for a 6-week full-time placement, with the potential to gain valuable experience in a supportive school environment.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and practical Design & Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on resistant materials and construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching Design & Technology to KS3 and KS4 students

  • Planning and delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons

  • Assessing, monitoring, and tracking student progress

  • Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

  • Following school behaviour, safeguarding, and curriculum policies

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching Design & Technology in UK secondary schools

  • Strong subject knowledge across DT areas such as resistant materials, product design, graphics, or engineering

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
