Deputy Ward Manager Role Overview: Provide senior nursing leadership, supporting the Ward Manager and guiding the nursing team. Apply policies and statutory requirements within the ward and wider hospital framework. Assess and manage risk across the ward environment, ensuring regulatory compliance. Supervise and support a defined group of staff, overseeing CPD, mandatory training, and appraisals. Act as a mentor and role model, encouraging a culture of learning, development, and innovation. Implement, monitor, and evaluate therapeutic interventions to support recovery and coping strategies. Contribute to effective Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) collaboration, ensuring holistic patient care. Lead shifts and provide clinical supervision to a designated nursing team.
