Connect2Luton are excited to recruit a Deputy Team Managerr Adults on behalf of Luton Borough Council within their population wellbeing department.

About the Role

The main purpose of this role is to support the operational manager to manage social work team(s) and contribute to the effective leadership, quality assurance, risk management and safeguarding matters, supporting the senior management team in delivering good quality services and effective integration between health and social care through collaboration with stakeholders and partners across the system. You will be expected to work with others to influence and shape the local environment, to promote social inclusion and accessibility and ensure that identified needs are understood individually, by locality and fed into strategic commissioning.

As an Deputy Team Manager you will be responsible to:

Skills and Experience

  • Post qualifying experience and demonstrable knowledge and application of development of person centred outcomes and support planning and review in a wide range of complex cases with different adult client groups advocacy and user and carer involvement issues
  • Experience of working with adults with dementia sensory impairments, mental health, autism, learning disabilities, physical disabilities
  • Ability to support staff working with complex family dynamics
  • Self-motivating and managing, high achiever, innovative, able to effectively manage & lead change successfully
  • Significant experience of supervising social care staff
  • Value for money minded with evidence of ability to design cost effective care packages.
