Deputy SENCO Location: South London Salary: Paid to scale Contract: Temporary to perm Start Date: ASAP An exciting opportunity to join our SEND leadership team We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed and experienced Deputy SENCO to join our dedicated and supportive team in a thriving school in South London. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate education professional who is committed to ensuring that children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) receive the highest quality support and are enabled to achieve their full potential. Working closely with the SENCO, senior leaders, teachers, support staff, families and external professionals, the successful candidate will play an important role in the strategic and day-to-day leadership of SEND provision across the school. The role As Deputy SENCO, you will: Support the SENCO in the strategic development and implementation of the school''s SEND provision. Help ensure that the school''s SEND policy, provision and practice meet statutory requirements and reflect the needs of our pupils. Support the identification, assessment and monitoring of pupils with additional needs. Work closely with teachers and support staff to develop effective, inclusive classroom practice and appropriate interventions. Contribute to the development and review of SEND support plans and EHCP provision. Liaise effectively with parents and carers, building positive and trusting relationships.
