Deputy Room Leader - 3 Days Per Week

Academics are currently recruiting for an experienced Deputy Room Leader to join a welcoming school-based setting in West Sussex, near Haywards Heath.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Early Years professional who is looking for a part-time position working three days per week, Monday to Wednesday, and who can start as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will support the Room Leader with the day-to-day running of the room, ensuring children receive a high standard of care, learning and development in a safe and nurturing environment.

As Deputy Room Leader, you will:

• Support the Room Leader with the effective day-to-day running of the room
• Help to plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities
• Support children''s learning, development and wellbeing
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
• Promote a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
• Assist with observations, assessments and children''s learning journeys
• Support and guide other members of the team where appropriate
• Follow safeguarding and nursery policies and procedures at all times

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• CACHE Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
• Previous experience working as a Deputy Room Leader or in a similar senior Early Years position
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children''s learning and development
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children''s welfare
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
• Two years of satisfactory references covering your relevant employment/education history
