A vacancy currently exists for a Deputy Operations Manager to play a key role in managing the operation and staff at multiple hazardous waste treatment facilities in the Yorkshire region. Main Duties: Supporting and deputising for the Operations Manager Managing the operation and staff at multiple waste treatment facilities to ensure safety, compliance, and financial targets are met Leading and managing staff and contractors to operate safely and compliantly Developing and maintaining positive relationships with regulators, customers, and suppliers Overseeing the reception, inspection, processing, and dispatch of waste and treated residues Developing and implementing operating procedures, work instructions, and staff training Managing preventative maintenance programmes and arranging timely maintenance Liaising with technical staff for sampling, assessment, and monitoring of waste processing techniques Providing permits to work and operating mobile plant equipment Training and mentoring new starters Candidate Requirements: A degree in Chemistry or a related subject Experience in the process (chemical) or waste treatment industry Health and Safety qualification such as NEBOSH General Certificate Certificate of Technical Competence ..... full job details .....
