Deputy Operations Manager - Engineering Projects

We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Operations Manager to support the senior management of an established engineering operation, taking responsibility for engineering teams, customer projects, operational performance and project delivery.This is a varied position combining engineering leadership, project management, customer liaison, commercial responsibility and operational planning.The RoleReporting to the Area Manager, you will act as second-in-command and deputise in their absence, whilst continuing to provide technical and operational leadership across engineering projects and service activities.Your responsibilities will include:Leading and supporting engineering/project teams.Planning and coordinating scheduled and reactive engineering work.Managing projects from initial planning through to completion.Ensuring projects are delivered to agreed timescales, cost and quality standards.Carrying out site inspections and preparing survey reports and quotations.Managing project costings and supporting PandL performance.Liaising directly with customers and advising on engineering solutions.Monitoring operational performance, utilisation and scheduling.Producing project reports and Gantt charts.Supporting contractual and commercial requirements.Providing technical guidance and mentoring to engineering teams.Supporting health and safety, risk assessments and site compliance.Working collaboratively with supply chain and other internal departments.Deputising for the Area ..... full job details .....
