Help Build a Brand-New Children''s Home
We''re looking for experienced and motivated Deputy Managers to join our expanding team at our brand-new children''s homes in Wallasey (CH44) and Wirral (CH61).
This is a unique opportunity to work alongside the Registered Manager to establish a new home from the ground up, helping to shape its culture, values and standards from day one. You''ll play a key leadership role in creating a safe, nurturing environment where children and young people can thrive while supporting and developing a dedicated team.

The Role
As Deputy Manager, you will:
* Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day management of the home.
* Lead and motivate the staff team, promoting a positive and child-centred culture.
* Help establish and maintain high standards of care in line with Ofsted regulations and Children''s Homes Regulations.
* Lead shifts, oversee care delivery and provide guidance to Residential Support Workers and Senior Residential Support Workers.
* Support with staff supervision, mentoring and performance management.
* Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times and promote the welfare of every child.
* Assist with care planning, risk assessments, audits and record keeping.
* Build positive relationships with children, families, social workers and other professionals.
* Support recruitment, induction and ongoing development of team members.
* Work towards achieving and maintaining positive Ofsted outcomes.
What We''re Looking For
We''re looking for someone who has:
* Significant experience working within children''s residential care.
* Previous experience in a Senior Residential Support Worker or leadership role.
* A strong understanding of safeguarding, children''s legislation and Ofsted requirements.
* Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
* A positive, resilient and child-focused approach.
* The ability to inspire, support and develop others.
* Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and sleep-in nights as required.
Essential
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or willingness to work towards achieving it.
* Full UK driving licence.
