Deputy Manager Children''s Residential Home (5-Bed) Stockport Salary: £38,000 £42,000 Hours: 37.5 hours per week, a mix of shift-based care work and administrative/office days We are recruiting a Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in leading a 5-bed children''s residential home in the Stockport area, working with young people with EBD/SEMH needs. This role combines hands-on shift work with administrative responsibilities, offering a varied week and genuine progression towards a Registered Manager position. Key responsibilities: Supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day operational running of the home Deputising in the Registered Manager''s absence, including out-of-hours on-call cover where required Supervising and mentoring care staff, supporting their development and performance Contributing to care planning, risk assessments, and Ofsted compliance Balancing direct shift work with young people alongside office-based administrative duties Supporting recruitment, rota management, and staff training What we''re looking for: A minimum of a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, with willingness to work towards Level 5 Experience working within children''s residential care, ideally in a senior or team leader capacity Good understanding of safeguarding, SEMH/EBD needs, and relevant regulatory frameworks Strong communication and organisational skills Full UK driving licence (desirable) If this role sounds of interest, please apply with an up to ..... full job details .....
