Deputy Manager - Residential Care Home

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to join the leadership team within a residential care home. This is a full-time managerial position supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high-quality care, strong governance and a positive working culture.We are seeking a confident and compassionate care professional with previous senior-level experience within a care setting. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of CQC regulations and adult social care standards, alongside excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills. Key Responsibilities of the Deputy ManagerSupport the Registered Manager in all aspects of operational management and regulatory compliance.Cover the Registered Manager when they are on annual leave or not in the office.Provide leadership, supervision and guidance to care staff.Complete care planning, audits, assessments and quality monitoring.Ensure safe, effective and person-centred care delivery.Lead by example during floor shifts, promoting best practice and supporting staff.Contribute to staff training, development and performance management.Maintain accurate documentation and uphold CQC standards.Act as a point of contact for families, professionals and external agencies.Support recruitment and HR processes.Assist with safeguarding, incident management and risk assessments.Administer medication within a busy care home ..... full job details .....
