Deputy Home Manager - Residential Children''s ServicesLocation: Cheshire (with flexibility to support neighbouring services as required)Purpose of the JobUnder the direction of the Home Manager, to provide a healthy, stimulating, and safe environment for young people and staff.To manage the home in the absence of the Home Manager, fully in accordance with company policies and procedures.To actively evidence and progress the leadership skills required to eventually step into a Registered Manager role.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesDeputising and Leadership: Act on behalf of the Home Manager in their absence across all professional and administrative functions. Take a lead role in day-to-day team management and specific development areas agreed upon with the Home Manager.Staff Supervision and Development: Conduct high-quality professional supervision and induction training for staff. Foster team building, staff development, and overall staff training.Operational Management: Oversee rota planning to ensure all shifts are appropriately covered. Manage work routines and daily shift planning.Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a deep understanding of, and lead practices in line with, Regulation 44 and 45 Quality of Care reviews, the Social Care Inspection Framework (SCCIF), and Health and Safety guidelines.Care and Safeguarding: Contribute to, implement, and review robust care plans.
